Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 16 September 2025 – Rally Chile Bio Bío, Round 11 of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), concluded on September 14 after four days of action on the gravel roads surrounding the coastal city of Concepción. Premium tyre manufacturer Hankook, WRC’s exclusive tyre supplier, equipped all crews with its Dynapro R213, once again proving its capability in one of the season’s most unpredictable events.

Rally Chile Bio Bío covered 16 special stages and 306.76 kilometers across forest tracks and coastal roads. Crews had to contend with the full spectrum of conditions typical of the southern hemisphere’s spring: dry conditions created heavy dust, sudden showers turned sections into mud, and sea fog repeatedly reduced visibility — making it one of the toughest rallies of the season.

Although the Chilean gravel stages are generally smooth, the succession of steep, high-speed corners demanded exceptional tyre performance. Durability, grip and steering response were vital for crews to maintain pace and control throughout the weekend.

Hankook’s Dynapro R213 again proved equal to the task. Built on a reinforced casing structure and a precision tread design, the all-terrain rally tyre delivered stability and steering accuracy at speed while absorbing heavy impacts across mud, gravel and sand. The Dynapro R213 enabled drivers to maintain rhythm in constantly changing conditions, reaffirming its standing as a top-tier motorsport tyre.

Sébastien Ogier of Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team claimed his second consecutive victory, following his triumph at the recent Ueno Rally del Paraguay. With this result, Ogier has overtaken his team-mate Elfyn Evans by two points to move into the lead of the drivers’ championship standings.

The WRC now moves to Europe for Round 12, the Central European Rally, which takes place from October 16–19 across Germany, Czech Republic and Austria. Based in Passau, Bavaria, the rally will be run on narrow, technical asphalt roads that cross into the neighboring countries of Czech Republic and Austria.

Unlike the gravel events run since Round 5, the Central European Rally will be held on asphalt, putting the focus on each team’s Tarmac tyre strategy. With only three rounds remaining in the season, the outcome in Germany, Czech Republic and Austria is expected to shape the drivers’ championship battle, setting the stage for an even more intense fight to the finish.

Alongside its role in the WRC, Hankook continues to strengthen its position as a global premium brand. The company has carried out over 2,000km of full vehicle testing across more than eight countries in partnership with the FIA and leading car manufacturers, securing official FIA homologation for its high-performance rally tyres. Since the start of the 2025 season, Hankook has served as the exclusive supplier across all WRC classes under a three-year agreement, reinforcing its standing as a global premium brand while delivering consistency and reliability on the sport’s toughest stages.

For decades, Hankook has been one of the first ports of call when it comes to international motorsport. Hankook supplies its race tyres to globally-renowned series, high-class junior formats and popular grassroot events. With new collaborations and partnerships, the company is constantly enhancing its status as a global player on the motorsport scene. Since the 2023 season, Hankook has been the exclusive technical partner and tyre supplier of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. In close cooperation with Formula E, the iON Race was developed for the world championship. Roughly 30 percent of the high-performance tyre is made of sustainable materials. With this commitment, Hankook is taking another pioneering step towards energy efficiency and sustainability in motorsport. The premium tyre maker has also agreed a collaboration with Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini Squadra Corse, and has been official technical partner and exclusive tyre supplier of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series since 2023. The premium tyre maker’s portfolio covers a broad spectrum. This includes the FIA ERC4 Junior Championship for young and talented rally drivers. Hankook also supports popular touring car championship TCR Italy, many high-class one-make cups for a wide range of renowned manufacturers, junior single-seater series, and assorted international racing events with race tyres and technical know-how.
