Georgi Dimitrov (Bulgaria) and Stéphan Guerin (France) triumphed in race one at the opening round of this season’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, which took place at Circuit Paul Ricard from 11th to 13th April. Having fought back strongly from third on the grid, they took full advantage of the consistently high grip level of the Hankook Ventus Race tyre to take a hard-earned victory. Race two was won by the duo of Enzo Geraci (USA) and Josef Knopp (Czech Republic). With the track damp at first but drying out later, Geraci made the decisive move shortly before the end of the race, overtaking Italian Guido Luchetti to take the lead and ultimately the win. Even in these unsettled conditions, the Hankook race tyre performed reliably across the full race duration of 50 minutes. The next showdown in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe is from 30th May to 1st June in Monza.
