The Ligier JS Cup France kicked off the new season in March with two six-hour races in Valencia and Le Castellet. The opening round, from 7th to 8th March at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, was won by the Zosh – J4R team (#93), before Orhes – Race Link App (#6) gained revenge in race two from 21st to 22nd March at Circuit Paul Ricard. The Hankook Ventus Race played its part in an impressive fightback: the high levels of grip and reliability provided by the race tyre allowed Orhes – Race Link App to recover from eleventh place to take victory. Both teams ended the opening two races with a win and a second place to their name. As such, they are tied at the top of the table on 195 points. The Hankook race tyre proved to be a stable factor in the tactics, stints and battles – and played a pivotal role in the close finishes at the front of the field. The title race continues from 23rd to 25th May at Circuit de Magny-Cours in France.
